Najib pays remaining bail

Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak's children posted the remaining RM500,000 of the RM1 million bail imposed on Najib in relation to his SRC International graft case.

High Court judge Mohd Sofian Abdul Razak, who is presiding over Najib's graft case was urged to recuse himself due to his link to his brother, who is a Pahang Umno assemblyperson.

Najib thanked his supporters for the donations that were used to help pay for the bail.

Former minister Zainuddin Maidin mocked Wanita Umno for raising money for Najib's bail.

PKR's Latheefa Koya said Najib should stop playing the victim.

August by-election

The Election Commission (EC) announced that the Sungai Kandis by-election will take place on Aug 4.
