I share the same opinion as Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Maths and science should be taught in English. Many are in favour of it because they see the importance of English in their lives and career.

Why, there are even ministers who send their kids to international schools and universities because of this reason. In fact, there are several solutions to this issue.

Allow at least the secondary schools to use English, or even better, to profile schools and allow those able to continue teaching in English and others to teach in Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, or Tamil.

Then, with the consent of parents, these non-English teaching schools can be upgraded to English later. No doubt, not all school teachers will be able to master the language.

Tis has to be done in stages and not by compulsion, as we did earlier. We should gradually get schools in the interior to adapt to English.

A dual-system good as it allows parents to decide the future of their kids.

Mastery of science and maths in English is essential for Malaysia to be competitive in the global arena. Even the Chinese in China are going all out to master English.

BN leaders are thinking more of their political future rather than the future of our kids in making the switch back to Bahasa Malaysia.
