Pakatan needs at least two terms in Putrajaya

I refer to the Malaysiakini report Probe on Dr M would be a hiding to nothing .

When a good prime minister like Abdullah Ahmad Badawi decided to cancel the construction of the ‘crooked bridge’ across the Tebrau Straits in Johor, who continued to bark incessantly against the move?

Was he not quoted in the media as saying that there is still money in the EPF and in Petronas to build this bridge?

Now, for once, let the rakyat’s voice be heard, son of Iskandar Kutty! You have not only forgotten and forsaken your Keralan roots, but you have also chosen to ignore the fact that the EPF is our hard-earned savings and Petronas money belongs to the people.

Like Umno leader Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah says, our oil wealth has become a ‘curse’ onto the nation. With Petronas’ oil revenue dropping by RM58 billion this year, we are not going to last very long before our oil reserves run out.

I don’t have to talk about Petronas Twin Towers and how the whole of Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur would have become heavily congested if every floor of the Twin Towers were occupied. And how MAS was bailed out with public funds above the market price.

And, the money that has been wasted by Perwaja Steel and Bank Bumiputra not to mention that Proton has not been doing well of late too.

If Barry Wain, author of the book Malaysian Maverick: Mahathir Mohamad in Turbulent Times were to go on, he could write another book on all the other scandals which would reflect badly on a country that has already been mismanaged. We should stop all the rot before this nation’s wealth goes down the drain.

I guess it’s because we are all so forgetful that we continue to vote for ‘apa nama BN’! Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

We need to put Pakatan Rakyat there in Putrajaya for at least two terms to allow BN to get its act together and weed out its rotten apples.
