Beginning April 1, there will be a slight change for the second time in DiGi's D Campus plan whereby the daily maximum free calls after the RM2 usage will be limited to only 100 minutes.

Apart from that, the reload bonus and birthday bonus will be replaced with more attractive packages. This is one of DiGi's marketing ploys because before this, when the plan was newly introduced, the user need only use up to RM1 and enjoy free calls for one whole day.

Later, DiGi increased the requirement to RM2. When DiGi made this announcement, most students begin to feel that it was not worth it. The thing is, DiGi should not have introduced such promising packages especially for students.

If they wanted to do so, they should have done more in-depth research on how the students are going to cope with the increase due to the current economy and according to the financial capability of the students.

This is the time for DiGi to sustain its low rates - not increase them. In fact, this tremendous change has affected most of the students and most of them are disappointed. Some of them are boycotting the ‘D campus plan'.

I hope DiGi will really look into this matter and will be more considerate towards the students' plight and cater for their needs. Let them adhere to their motto ‘DiGi - always the smarter choice'.

A smart student will choose to maximise his or her satisfaction and anyone would always want something affordable with low rates.
