With the term "kafir harbi" being used in the current hudud issue, the Muslim extremists in the country are pushing the envelope too far... just too far... and if left unchecked, may bring the country to another precipice. This time it is because of religion.

The government must put an end to this dangerous use of religion to pursue the political ends of these islamic extremists.

Extremist cleric Abdullah Sa'amah classified DAP as "kafir harbi". Soon after Umno-BN government granted him RM2 million of taxpayers' money (for his religious school).

Abdullah Sa'amah had declared his notorious 'fatwa' ie declaring it is 'haram' for Muslims to vote for DAP, because DAP comprised of "kafir harbi", infidels at war with Muslims, owing to its opposition to hudud.

Is this the direction which our government is allowing our religious extremists to channel Islam to move forward in Malaysia?

If that is so, May God/Allah save Malaysia. And may God save us all.

Why is it so very dangerous to use the term "kafir harbi" by Malay-Muslims on non-Muslims in Malaysia, and why must the government not condone the use of the term "kafir harbi" on non-Muslims in Malaysia?

What is "kafir harbi"? Read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harbi

Harbi or kafir harbi (Arabic: literally "someone belonging to war") is a term of Islamic law, which refers to a non-Muslim who does not live under the conditions of the dhimma. Sometimes the terms appear in the combination "kafir harbi".

A dhimmi ("the people of the dhimma") is an Islamic term referring to non -Muslim subjects of a Muslim state. Dhimma allows rights of residence in return for taxes.

Harbi is the counter-term to dhimma.

The kafir harbi is the inhabitant of the dar al-harb (house of war).

A kafir harbi has no rights, not even the right to live.

According to the Yusuf al-Qaradawi of Middle East Media Research Institute:

"It has been determined by Islamic law that the blood and property of people of Dar Al-Harb [the Domain of Disbelief where the battle for the domination of Islam should be waged] is not protected. Because they fight against and are hostile towards the Muslims, they annul the protection of his blood and his property."

According to the Middle East Media Research Institute the Egyptian Grand-Mufti, Dr Sheikh Ali Gomaa, said on jihad and killing kafir harbi:

Question: "Is it permitted to kill an Israeli traveling outside the borders of his land?"

Sheikh Gum'a: "Yes, it is permitted to kill him, because he is a harbi and the harbi spreads corruption throughout the face of the earth."
