Much has been said by non-Malay Malaysians on Umno's ideology of Ketuanan Melayu or 'Malay Supremacy'. It is perhaps time to hear what a westernised, socialist and anti-Umno Malay Malaysian has to say.

Throughout the years, Umno has given people the impression that all Malay Malaysians have benefitted from policies based on Ketuanan Melayu. This is not true.

The only Malay Malaysians to have benefitted from the discriminative policies against non-Malay Malaysians are the Umno-putras who are the sons and daughters of the Umno elite.

If you need proof, visit the rural areas in Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang to look at the poverty there. It will show how both Malay and non-Malay Malaysians are cheated by Umno.

Similarly, the Malays should go to the Chinese villages or Indian estates and see for themselves the sufferings of fellow Malaysians. There, you will see the political and economic crimes committed by Umno, MCA and MIC all these years.

But, like all the poor people in the world, the Malays, Chinese and Indians in Malaysia do not have the resources to communicate with others outside their immediate living and working environment. They are divided and duped by the racial ideologies of Ketuanan Melayu, 'Chinese unity' and 'Indian self-help'.

These racial ideologies are the mental opium provided by Umno, MCA and MIC capitalists to dupe the poor masses and divide them. They fuel suspicion and create jealousy and hostility. This is done so that the races will unite to demand justice based on universal values.
