So, PAS wants to implement Syariah law as the 'supreme law' in Terengganu.
According to Hussin Ismail, PAS' political secretary to Terengganu Mentri Besar Abdul Hadi Awang, "Non-Muslims should not be wary of Syariah law, as it will not be imposed on them, and they will accept it'.
All well and good, if I were a selfish and disinterested non-Muslim who would have no qualms with the amputation of a Muslim's hand or the stoning of a Muslim accused of adultery because it does not concern me as a non-Muslim.
Where, however, would that put me as a person, who believes in equal rights for my fellow man, Muslim or non-Muslim? And what about the Muslims who are not particularly enamoured by the implementation of such archaic and dehumanising laws?
