All those responsible for the Malaysian education system are blind. They cannot see the forest for the trees. A good solution to solve the debacle on university admission is to build enough universities to accommodate all wishing to pursue further studies.
Simply said, people are not fighting for secondary school places because there are enough schools for all who have completed their primary education.
Similarly, if we have enough university places to take in all those that have completed their secondary education and are qualified for university admission, this annual discussion on university intake will never see the light of day again.
We have the money to build more universities, but do we have the will?
