I think Pak Lah as premier-in-waiting must caution some Umno leaders about their bloodthirsty notions about putting educationists and sasterawan (laureates) into jail for sedition or national security reasons, for holding different opinions on the language issue in teaching Mathematics and Science in schools.

Umno Youth leader Hishammuddin Hussein and Deputy Home Minister Zainal Abidin Zin do not seem to be thinking clearly on these matters and are making us the laughing stock yet again with these calls for incarceration.

These are old methods and the fact remains that putting people away 'successfully' through bad laws (without safeguards) and a malleable judiciary do not mean that the people are going to stop pushing the limits to do what is right for King and country.

It just shows Malaysia to be a police state. Sometimes I think that there is just mush (read stupidity) between the ears of these ministers.

It also shows that Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's administration for some 21 years has not generated Umno politicians who would serve the future of our country. There is mediocrity, mediocrity and mediocrity. This has become part of the collective consciousness of Umno.

The future of the Malays and Malaysia lies elsewhere.
