After ages, Bujang Valley still not protected

I am really sad and find it inconceivable to understand how the Candi no 11 in Sungai Batu of Bujang Valley had met its fate.

I mean, this is after all the famous Bujang Valley we are talking about here.

To learn that many candis and sites there are yet to be gazetted just makes one wonder why this has not been done yet.

Wasn't Bujang Valley already a world-renowned archeological site, standing as proof to the formative years of Malaysia?

Yet after all these years being under the watch of the federal and state administration since  independence, as well as the museum and heritage organisations, why did it have to come up to this?

Can one imagine this even happening in any other Asean country?

Even lately some have come up in arms to protect their heritage sites. This Bujang Valley should be recognised like the Valley of the Kings of Egypt.

Indeed, it is a place of great pride to the nation and should remain so in future.

In fact, many people in other nations have already long esteemed it with glory and pride as it represents past great civilisations.

Yes, I would actually say we Malaysians have failed to place the rightful value to a treasure such as Bujang Valley that was inherited to us from the past.

Hence, we should refrain from delaying in doing the necessary to protect the ruins.
