I would like to refer to the letter by Irate Consumer. I fully agree with him/her in regards to the dirty tactics that Astro has been using all this while.

Recently I downgraded my subscription from five mini-packages to four mini-packages, minus the news, and received a bill from Astro charging me RM10 for downgrading my subscription. This is utter daylight robbery.

Isn't it enough that Astro charges RM10 for subscribers who pay late (a few days late)? Now, they are charging us for either upgrading or downgrading our subscription.

Like Irate Consumer, I'm now considering terminating my subscription. I call upon other Astro subscribers to do likewise to send a very strong and clear message that we, Malaysian consumers, are not easily intimidated and bulldozed by monopolistic companies.
