I refer to the current issue surrounding the statements and actions by PAS leaders. The actions and utterances (policy statements) of these politicians are, have been and will continue to be, so predictable that they have become laughing stocks in the Malaysian political world, except only to their most ardent followers.
Cik Fatimah , these leaders are so 'human' that they are always blaming women for arousing the lust of men - note, it's never the men who are lustful, pervert and lewd! It's those Jezebels!
No bare midriffs please, or cut out the lipstick and perfume, you Delilahs! For crying out loud, are these PAS leaders so hard up that they reckon even the use of lipstick or perfume by women can excite men to rape? Be warned then, you men who use cologne better watch out - you can never tell what unconstrained sexual arousal may lead some men to!
PAS fantastic strategy to address the wickedness of women? Different queues for different genders! No bikinis or swimsuits at hotel swimming pools (why not the obvious, where PAS and followers should be told to stay away from the hotels' swimming pools?).
No lipstick and perfume for the Lucretia Borgia's - but I am disappointed the Tok Guru forgot something - may I contribute by recommending that mascara be not permitted too. Women do look all that more alluring with eye-shadow - Salome was already a handful with her seven veils, we just can't afford to let her modern sisters have this beauty enhancer as well!
Being the evil temptresses, sirens, Bathshebas and Circes, these women should not be believed, even when they claimed to be raped. PAS declared that we need at least four men of good character to bear witness to the act of rape. Women of course are absolutely not permitted - these Liliths would collude, wouldn't they? She-devils!
So we have these four blokes of good characters (preferably PAS leaders) sitting there by the sidelines bearing careful witness to the rape, and one would imagine after the brutal act has been completed, these four wonders would jump up to do their civic duties by offering to bear witness to what they had patiently seen through - well, details are important in a rape case, aren't they?
I await eagerly for the next major policy pronouncement by PAS leaders. And these are the people that Keadilan want to be allied to?
