Fatimah, in her response to Paul Warren's letter , was fast in pointing Warren's mistake in his comments on Nik Aziz, since he does not know him personally.
But she has missed Warren's point entirely, which is ironically exactly the same as her own point. That is Nik Aziz does not know each and single man and woman in Malaysia.
So how can he limit the women's use of makeup and perfume simply because of his own limitation? Should he limit all of us to his particular sense of morality?
Fatimah will do better in forming her opinion if she can judge both sides involved. In my opinion, Hadi, being in the position of power, should be the one that requires scrutiny on his views and statements.
PAS ability to lead a multi-racial, multi-religious and democratic country needs serious examination.
Among other things, its president Abdul Hadi Awang's statement that women are not suitable to be a judge baffles me. Especially when PAS has committed to unlimited fielding of women candidates in the next polls.
How can women be lawmakers yet unqualified in enforcing or implementing the law? The logic simply fails me.
