With reference to the letter by Lawrence of Sabah, I would like to mention that Keadilan Youth's website currently displays a letter detailing the corruption investigations on International Trade and Industry Minister Rafidah Aziz on her allegedly illegal transfer of shares worth several millions of ringgit to her son-in-law.

As far as I know the Anti-Corruption Agency has not officially cleared her of the charges. There could perhaps have been some reluctance to prosecute her during former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad's watch but now that he has retired, I am sure that the ACA will do what it is required by law. It is obvious that when the agency drew up the charges against Rafidah for the consideration of the prime minister, it had already collected sufficient evidence against her. Therefore to waffle over this issue now would be so pathetically irresponsible.

It would be presumptuous to advise Pak Lah on the course of action he must take, but he must realise that to retain any cabinet minister disfigured with the leprosy of corruption is to go against all the ideals of good governance which he has been preaching. NGO's will not keep quiet. Their agitation could translate into huge electoral losses for the BN.

Having studied religion in university, Pak Lah is known as a decent person but he would lose all moral authority to speak on government ethics if he fails to act decisively on this matter.
