I am sick in my stomach reading about the proposed appeal by certain housing developers in connection with the Court of Appeal's decision to overturn the High Court decision on the retrospective' hearing of past sales and purchase agreements.

Why are the developers, who claim the don't have money to pay late delivery charges, wasting money on legal cost when they should be using their 'limited' funds to pay off what they owe house buyers.

This action of housing developers in delaying claims is what brought about the Housing Tribunal in the first place, and now these unscrupulous developers are delaying it further. The amount claimed by house buyers are what is morally, ethically and legally due. The problem is enforcing these claims. The developers have never disputed their guilt, they are merely waffling on technicality.

To those prospective house buyers, please avoid buying any more property from these group of housing developers as there is no guarantee that they will honour future obligations. At the end of the day, the power is in our hands. Just stop all dealings with these bad sheep. They give all law abiding and good developers a very bad name indeed. We cannot always depend on enforcement without doing our bit as consumers.
