I wish to share an experience I had with AirAsia when the flight was still active at Subang Airport. I bought a ticket to Penang three days before departure at the counter in Subang airport and as I expected I did not get the cheapest price. I was queueing behind a Malay couple and they managed to get a cheaper ticket.

The AirAsia staff told me that the price I wanted has just finished therefore I need to pay for the next scale which is about RM30 more expensive. I did not really mind as I thought well it is still reasonable and cheaper than MAS.

Then on the day of my flight, I happen to sit next to a Malay guy and started chatting with him on what we think of AirAsia concept. I then asked him how much he paid and when he purchased the ticket.

To my surprise, he told me he bought it cheaper than what I had paid for. To my shock, he said he bought the ticket just the day before the flight at the Subang counter. He didn't even make any reservation, it was just walk-in like what I did.

So I felt confuse and a sense of being cheated. It even cross my mind that could it be due to my skin colour that I have to pay more. Either something is not right with the company or is it the people working in the company.
