Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has said that he wants to know the truth.

Yet he has dismissed the public perception that there is persecution in relation to Anwar Ibrahim's trial . How does he explain the strong people's campaign against the conviction? Why was a simple appeal for bail dismissed?

If Pak Lah believes that public opinion is on his side, why use strong arm tactics against Keadilan for holding political ceramah ? Why do the police often turn down applications for permits?

The best way to keep Keadilan protestors off the streets is to offer them the right to address their supporters as well as whoever is interested. If they want, by all means allow them access to Bukit Jalil stadium.

With a muzzled press, we can hardly believe the public statements of our national leaders. With the impending general election, the time has come for the voters to decide.

This is the only chance left for the people to decide who should be our future leaders. I hope they will vote wisely.
