I find it incredible that no one has questioned Kelantan Menteri Besar Niz Aziz Nik Mat's interpretation of socialism when he rejected Keadilan's Dr. Syed Husin Ali candidacy for the Kota Baru parliamentary seat because of the latter's socialist stance.

It shows that PAS at its core is only about their version of Islam. They are arrogant to believe that their interpretation of Islam is the only way and everyone else is just plain wrong and against God.

Communists may be socialists but socialists need not be communists. Socialism covers a very wide area and one can even argue that Islam is in fact socialist in its main concern for the ummah .

To reject socialism outright is to be very narrow minded and frankly, this scares me. Does PAS' version of Islam ultimately mean that the common wants of people must be sacrificed if it is against the party's interpretation of Islam?

Isn't this just plain theocratic-autocratic rule?
