It is true that the Indian community requires a very dynamic leadership if it is to stop its socio-economic slide. S Samy Vellu has overstayed his welcome. He has aided the government in marginalising the whole Indian community to the extent where Indians have become the 'underclass' in Malaysia..
The time is ripe for the Indian community to show their disgust for Samy by voting him out. It is no use having such leaders who have betrayed the trust reposed in them, who 'talk the talk' but blatantly lie and do not 'walk the talk'.
Indians have been marginalised in all areas of the economic sector to the extent they
are even unable to get into the local universities. Where is the level-playing field between the matriculation examination, which is an internal varsity exam, and the STP, which is a public examination? Although he talks so much about his MIC university, Samy has never addressed this issue.
Indians do not need an MIC university which is run like a company for the sole objective of making profits. What above average and bright Indians require is funding or scholarships. MIC led by Samy has never got its priorities right.
Let the ballot box speak and send this so-called invincible leader into oblivion so that the Indian community may have a better and brighter future.
