I add my silent prayer to the wishes expressed that Pak Lah gets his mandate as is so widely expected come tonight.

But I also hope a credible opposition will see the light of day in the new Parliament.

I have nothing against Pak Lah and as one political analyst said, "... he has been making all the right moves and right noises since he assumed office."

Yet, the actions as referred to by Manjit Bhatia in his piece , are the ones that'll really make a difference and I agree with him in totality.

Without a credible opposition, be it even from PAS, I'm afraid all the excesses we had seen in the Mahathir Era will be repeated all too soon.
