Like a roller coaster ride, the 'feel good factor' is now over. The euphoria has settled and the applause ends and the curtains are drawn. And what do we see?

The same ministers who have been little emperors in their little kingdoms for the last 10 or 20 years or more are still holding positions in the new cabinet. These are ministers, mind you, with questionable integrity, as there have been reports against them for alleged corruption and improprieties.

This is the line-up of the new BN cabinet. An anti-climax if there was ever one.

Suddenly, the people's rights and wishes are not as important. The elections are over, Jekyll's gone and now Hyde's ruling. Every five years the people are duped. The Election Commission (EC) messes up and there were voters who were denied their voting rights. PM Abdullah Ahmad Badawi says, not his problem.

Anwar Ibrahim was convicted unjustly before a tainted judiciary and judges left their own courts with their tails between their legs. Clearly a political prisoner is denied bail, but PM Abdullah says again, not his problem.

There are many questions that still remain; the Internal Security Act, police brutality, the independence of the judiciary and the Anti-Corruption Agency, freedom of the media etc.

Will PM Abdullah again say, 'not my problem?' He has much important business to attend to. Was he not the PM who said he was a PM for all Malaysians? Or was that Dr Jekyll and not Mr Hyde?
