I hope we will not get too obsessed with the election results and school bullying (which is also serious.) The country should focus on what potentially can be a very lethal development at our northern border.

If Malaysia and Thailand do believe in eliminating terrorism, then a top priority now is getting to grips with the southern Thai Muslim unrest problem which can overspill into our country.

It would be a good test for our newly-elected government to prove that they have the capability to do what is right. Race and religion have to take a back seat in this.

Thailand has potentially the same problem that the Philippines has in its southern region, except that Malaysia is not separated from Thailand by the South China Sea.
