Malaysiakini certainly captured the story of the day with the sensational news that Khairy Jamaluddin, or fondly known as KJ in his inner circle of friends, has been tipped to join Khazanah as chief operating officer.

It's not a secret that with the new Oxbridge connections, both in the Malaysian prime minister's and deputy prime minister's office, there appears to be very strong and powerful links on a global scale as most of these elites are the political, financial and economic shapers of the new Malaysian administration under Pak Lah.

These new breed of young, talented and ambitious leaders will raise the nation to new heights and current leaders who are weak and belong to the old school of thought will be phased out.

I bet that there will be a heavy traffic of criticisms when Khairy is elevated, both in politics and in the administration. I fully support this move and I also believe that the prime minister is in full control of his administration.

Pak Lah holds an ace and will play his cards well amidst the capabilities of his elite group of advisers.

We should have faith and confidence in Pak Lah's administration and that he will steer the nation along the correct path of nation building. Let us have a clear conscience, without any prejudice, and give our support to Pak Lah who has been given the people's mandate to rule the nation for the next five years.
