Enough had been said about Anwar Ibrahim and his need for medical attention. More now needs to be said about the government in general and Pak Lah in particular on how they should demonstrate to us the ethical and religious values that they subscribe to.
Islam and indeed, other religions, have always set limits as to how much one could hate or punish another person. Justice should always be tempered with mercy and punishment could always be dampened with empathy.
There is, however, no mitigation for hatred and vengeance.
Let us therefore see more pious acts and good deeds as demanded of us by the Almighty, the Merciful and the Compassionate. Let us practice what we preach and hope our quest for a happy and caring society can be a reality.
Let those who harbour hatred and vengeance be guided to the right path. Let our government and Pak Lah be showered with love and divine wisdom.
