I do not wish to turn this forum into a debating zone of sorts and while I do appreciate the comments made by Beng , I do not appreciate his most uncalled for sarcasm.

I merely said that Anwar is not ready to put his trust in the medical attention given to him by the government. Doctors currently being appointed by the government to handle Anwar's medical case are most unsatisfactory and their actions most questionable.

I wonder if Beng has heard of what one 'government-appointed doctor' did for Anwar including declaring that 'Anwar is ready to attend court' without even first meeting Anwar himself. After that episode, can Anwar still trust these government-appointed doctors?

And even if Eric Chia is imprisoned, and he demands that he be treated overseas, that is his right. And please be informed that Anwar's spinal case is not some 'vague pain'. It is also not the case of getting 'complementary and alternative treatment'! Anwar's trust of the local docs will never coincide with his trust of the government.

Can it be proved that if Anwar accepts the government's offer for local treatment, he will be accorded the best local doctors in the field? Could the government not appoint the doctors of its choice? Would Anwar have a say in which doctors are to be appointed to hold the knife? You tell me.

If Beng is unbiased, I demand that he brings to public view his comments regarding Endon Mahmood and her preference for overseas treatment.

Personally, I would not bring myself for treatment to a clinic where doctors are hotheaded and emotional. Then again, one has to be a patient to understand that concept.
