This statement is being made by the Say No to Dash (SNTD) committee in response to an invitation to a buka puasa with Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas) today (June 26, 2015).

The invitation was sent out to a select few resident groups and joint management committees of condominiums within the Damansara Perdana area.

We are making this public statement to reject your invitation on behalf of ourselves and the other condominiums in the area for the following reasons:

1. Prolintas had misrepresented our last meeting with them on May 15, 2015 as a public engagement exercise when our correspondence explicitly stated that it should not be so as part of our agreement to meet.

2. Prolintas had misrepresented our meeting with the Works Ministry on Dec 2, 2014 as a public engagement exercise initiated by them when we were the ones that initiated that meeting to seek answers.

3. Prolintas had misrepresented a meeting between them and persons from several condominiums in Damansara Perdana on March 7, 2012 who had objected to the highway into one where they agreed to the highway project instead.

4. The RSVP person is one Tony Moses acting on behalf of Prolintas-Dash, who had earlier written a letter to Malaysiakini telling the Selangor government that our collective voices should be ignored because we are the minority, which is a blatant disregard for the rules and laws that govern our country.

All the engagements above has been regarded and reported as though the resident of Damansara Perdana are in favour of Lebuhraya Damansara Shah Alam (Damansara Shah Alam Highway) being built in Damansara Perdana.

Prolintas’ unprofessional conduct and ethics has determined that we residents could no longer engage Prolintas directly without an independent third party present to observe any proceedings.

Today, the media shall play the role of a third party in delivering our message to you that we will no longer correspond with you or your representatives. Our dealings will henceforth be strictly with the Federal and Selangor governments. The residents of Damansara Perdana maintain and stand by our wishes that the Damansara segment of Dash must be realigned away from Damansara Perdana.

In the spirit of the season, we wish you and your staff a happy berbuka puasa.

SAY NO TO DASH (SNTD) Damansara Group represents the voice of residents opposing the Dash Highway in the Damansara segment of the proposed highway alignment.
