I refer to the article Top two leaders to be endorsed at PKR first congress in malaysiakini .
I am concerned with the erroneous and misleading statement quoting Mustafa Kamil Ayub, secretary-general of Parti Keadilan Rakyat, which reads:
"The secretary-general also said that a code of ethics has been drawn up and an election committee headed by Ibrahim Suffian, director of the private Merdeka Centre, will thrash out the details pertaining to the party polls."
I would like to clearly state here that neither myself nor Merdeka Centre has accepted any official role in Parti Keadilan Rakyat.
Merdeka Centre is a private limited company that conducts its business in opinion research and surveys. We have been engaged by various clients ranging from government ministries and agencies, political organisations and non-governmental organisations.
