I must take strong exception to Mohammed's letter to Dr Ng where in part he speculates from all his readings that the Sept 11 massacre was the handiwork of US/Israeli agents.

This conspiracy theory is old hat and also the speculation of Abu Hamza, the Finsbury Park cleric here in London who said it on BBC (which Mohammed so derides). Hamza is now under terrorism charges and faces 10 life sentences at the Old Bailey .

Of course, it is obvious that not all Muslims are to be blamed for terrorism but Mohammed reflects a warped attitude with a complete disregard for the facts and this does nothing to advance the cause of moderate Muslims at all.

He also insults the memory of Malaysians who were killed in the World Trade Centre tragedy.

Mohammed should read the story of the roommate of one of the suicide bombers of Sept 11 when they were students in Cologne for incontrovertible evidence that they did this heinous crime.

Malaysians should be at the forefront of moderate Muslim thinking and not indulge in wild speculations.
