I refer to the letter Disgusted with racist TV3 broadcast and Menacing' migrant workers .

In my opinion, our colonial masters left this country a few decades ago but it seems that they forgot to bring their pets along with them. And it is these pets who go ga-ga over everything 'white' and show uttermost contempt and disgust for 'other colours'.

So it is no wonder that TV3 behaved that way they did - they are still under the colonial mentality. If the crowd the TV3 crew had been filming had been Anglo-Saxon white, you would have seen TV3 newscasters beaming with pride and getting the former's opinions on the beauty of this country.

But unfortunately, the crowd comprised Bangladeshis, Thai, Indians, Indonesians, etc.

Sadly, the colonial mentality displayed by TV3 can still evidently be seen in our society to this day and hence the 'kissing up' to those with fair skin and the 'looking down' on those a 'shade darker'.

Ask any Indian Malaysian or middle-class Indian citizen tourists and they will tell you stories that will convince you on just how 'fair skin-minded' our Malaysia is.
