I refer to Christmas Freak's letter Jesus ban: Much ado with nothing.

The writer seems to want Malaysians and the world believe that Father OC Lim of the Catholic Research Center and most of the Christians who protested against the 'Jesus ban' were trouble-makers who created an issue out of nothing.

The writer cites the singing of several carols as 'evidence' of his contention. This is only a partial truth. Partial truth could be misleading and not very honest.

The whole truth of the matter is that, originally, there was indeed a secret ban but the authorities only lifted the ban after it was publicly exposed in malaysiakini and generated considerable protest inside the country as well as international concern.

We must thank Father OC Lim and malaysiakini for generating the public pressure to have the secret ban lifted. I pray malaysiakini would continue to serve the cause of justice for everyone in need of justice.
