With regards to the opposition to the proposed Interfaith Commission , I would like to enquire as to what is so sensitive about having a dialogue with people of other faiths?

The opposition to this move is just a 'paper tiger' manufactured by Umno and PAS to alienate and carve out the Malay constituency for themselves. There is no real desire for peace, understanding and love between the races, because these chauvinist and bigoted parties believe that it will dilute their power over the Malays.

For a country which promotes itself as a peaceful multiracial nation, opposition to the Interfaith Commission is contradictory. Sadly, those opposing the dialogue fail to see how reactionary and negative their positions are.
