I must congratulate to Teng Chang Khim , DAP's representative in the Selangor state assembly, for voicing out against Selangor state government on issues of rampant corruption in the state.

Time and again the Selangor state government is always in the limelight but for the wrong reason - corruption.

It is not difficult to see how much corruption has affected the financial performance of Selangor town councils as revealed by Teng. Take the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) for example. Now I know where most of the money from their coffers have gone.

Look at the huge MPAJ commercial complex at Pandan Indah which cost us taxpayers millions of ringgit but has been left unoccupied for years. How we are to make up for these huge losses only God knows.

It is really shameful how the people's trust and money have been easily usurped by people who are not even appointed by the rakyat but by the state government.

Each of us Malaysian must now work hard to stop this nonsense and to urge the government to hold municipal elections whereby councillors will be not answerable to a menteri besar but to the rakyat.

A salute to you, Teng.
