Killing me softly ... with corruption is such a profound letter. It addressed not only the economic, political and social effects of corruption but also the physical aspect.

Indeed, our lives and limbs are jeopardised due to the numerous instances enumerated by learned writer. I would like to say this to all the corrupted individuals (unless they have utilised their ill- gotten gains to live in Finland or something) - it's high time for a paradigm shift.

A long-term Utopian society instead of short-term monetary gains should be the order of the day. The former is most definitely the best environment for our children to grow up in

Malaysia now sits at No 39 of Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index compared to Singapore's No 5 spot. And the difference in the quality of living between the two countries is quite apparent.

Let us work towards a better society.
