After reading about Edmund Terence Gomez's story , I wonder whether the government is still pondering the reason why we fail to shine anymore in the field of sports?

When second best are allowed to run riot over every sector of the country, the best will stay away, and that includes in sports too.

Unfortunately, in sports on the world arena is a very level playing field. Something we as a nation must learn to deal with if we want to be counted on the world stage whether in sports or other fields.

University Malaya is 100 years old and its half-brother the National University of Singapore (NUS) is also celebrating its 100th year.

While the latter can now brag about being one of the world's top 20 universities, the former is content to be just embroiled in unfair resignations, victimisations and what have you.
