  • I am an old man in our young nation who has bought and used three national cars so far, which goes to show how much I love the country by supporting our very own car industries.

My first two cars were Protons. I am driving a Perodua Kembara now but it is about time to change after so many years. My own assessment of the new Proton Savvy and Perodua Myvi is not based technical specs, consumption figures, looks or whatever.

It is based on my past experiences. I would choose Perodua as to me they are more serious about making cars with some quality.

As for Proton, I'm sorry but my impression of them will never change. If I could offer a piece of advice, the company should change its name. The name 'Proton' has already been spoiled. No amount of advertising or public relations can save it.
