From my reading and understanding, the teachings of Ayah Pin seems to be another version or another view of Islamic teachings. These same views can also be found in other religions like Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism provided we are serious in looking for similarities. They can be found in the Holy Quran, Bible, Bhagavad-Gita and Dhammapada.

The Malaysian government has been promoting unity in diversity but will never accept it. This is because it will endanger its divide-and-rule policy as implemented through the racially-based political parties.

If it is believed that God is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient, than why must people or the government in power try to impose rules on religious beliefs? True believers of God will allow religious freedom. It is an individual's right. Religion should not be instituitionalised.

The above approach will also be able to help solve the world's terrorist problem. The terrorists' rigid understanding of the Quran is causing the problems. Looking at differences in religions is causing the problems.

Let us all be innovative and start to look for similarity in religions so that we can live in peace.
