So they say, a 1.6 litre car really costs only around RM30K. The dealer and distributor add another RM10K. The government, with APs and taxes add another RM50K, making the car cost a total of about RM90,000.

Then they make it easier to get loans. Houses or cars, these days one can get 100 percent loan easy. A RM1 deposit can buy you houses even in Kuala Lumpur.

Now that you have a car, you need to pay road tax, toll and higher fuel costs. Don't forget income tax. All these either go directly to the government coffers or the pockets of cronies to enable them to build palaces for themselves, have foreign holiday homes, fly around in helicopters and walk around with 'pointed crocodile' shoes. Interesting isn't it?

This perfect formula ensures that the majority of Malaysians are modern day slaves bonded to those in power. Malaysians end up spending a major part of their lives working to pay off loans, 75 percent of which, one way or another, goes back to the government and its cronies.

If that is not slavery than what? This also explains the term 'glocal' the deputy prime minister is promoting. While you are, for example, a local former chief minister in Malaysia, make sure you also make it to the global list of top gamblers at world class casinos.

The Anti-Corruption Agency is required to be a deaf and dumb in such cases so that the 'glocalisation' of Malaysians does not get derailed.

To be a exemplary 'glocal' again, these cronies need to continue fleecing the rakyat in increasingly creative and innovative ways. With the coffers empty, the main players are worried about their share of the loot. So, they come up with an idea of bringing back the NEP.

As if there weren't enough contract and tenders, Dr Mahathir Mohamad invented new conglomerates and huge privatisation projects, like the highway concessions, that were given off on silver platters. It was to keep modern slavery further secured and sound.

These days the government is after water and healthcare privatisation. Soon, I suppose, they will privatise the sky and oxygen in the air. So it would seems that whether it is APs or the NEP, these are all political machineries to subdue the people into slavery while the 'sacred cows' enjoy the milking.

And as if his 22 years in power were not enjoyable, Mahathir is back on the scene bent on protecting Proton and deny Malaysians far cheaper, better performing and more economical cars. This is a great injustice.

Because the good cars (hello, not Proton-lah) if acquired at their real price, would enable Malaysians to free themselves from the chains of slavery and enjoy a better quality life and prosperity.

There would be less loans to take, shorter periods to repay, less expenses on cars and extra cash to improve living capacity. There would be far less stress and Malaysians will live longer and healthier lives.
