I think Dr Mahathir Mohamad has given Anwar Ibrahim an opportunity on a platter.He should use this chance to get a full apology from the former premier.

This will also serve as a deterrent both to others and the local press from scandalising Anwar and his family.

I think Mahathir should learn that he is no more the prime minister and that his arrogance has a price. This is also an opportunity to highlight the conspiracy which led to Anwar's dismissal.

While I agree that Anwar should have resigned rather than be sacked in keeping with the traditions of collective responsibility, he was treated in a most inhumane manner. He and his friends have paid a heavy price and should not continue to take rubbish from Mahathir.

If Mahathir wants to keep on making the sodomy factor an issue now that the court has cleared Anwar, then he should realise that there is a price to be paid.

As this has been aired internationally sue him for as much as is needed to keep his mouth shut.
