I refer to the letter Anwar vs Mahathir: Let's rumble... and feel compelled to send in my reply.

The Malays are a forgiving people and do not always harbour ill-feelings or contempt towards those who has mistreated them. To allow the Anwar vs Mahathir issue to rumble on is a waste of time. Let's instead look on at the more positive side of things and move on from there.

I was an admirer of Anwar Ibrahim and I hope that he is still the person he was when he was a student leader in the 70s - idealistic, charming, visionary, intellectual.

So forgive Mahathir if Mahathir was wrong. More people would follow Anwar this way than if he were to continue taking on the former prime minister.
