I am shocked but not surprised at the incident of a member of parliament referring to my race in an insulting manner . This is not the first instance where this person has proven that he is more deserving of a job in a circus than in the august house.

Frankly, I do not buy the excuse that northerners in Malaysia refer to Indians as such. Even if some do, I do not expect this from a member of parliament. I am further incensed by the fact that he retorted that is was a small issue, unworthy for arguing over.

Yes, of course. You just insulted three million people, and showed over 20 million Malaysians and others in the world how ridiculously insensitive and politically incorrect you are.

Small issue, indeed. But of course, Parliament should obviously devote more time to this person's observation of mammoth proportions. Guys are wearing earrings. Tahniah YB. I can't believe how no one else thought of bringing this up in Parliament. This will undoubtedly change the very essence of our country.

I also note, only one MIC representative was present to respond to Badruddin's antic. That too, only after Lim Kit Siang and the rest of the opposition MPs got the ball rolling. Oh well, I guess the relatively 'new' SK Devamany is still in his learning stages.

Where the other MIC MPs were, is certainly not something I have the right to ask. They were probably working hard somewhere to increase the equity of Indians from 1.5% to 1.6% within the next century or so.

Badruddin, if you honestly did not know that the term you used is unsuitable, then I can only conclude that you are not capable to sit in Parliament, and it is my opinion that you are stupid. I hope you do not get away with this.

I am eager to see what the rest of the MIC leadership, who didn't have the opportunity to respond to you in Parliament, have to say about this.
