I simply cannot believe that the Jerai MP Badruddin Amiruldin can stoop so low as to insult our Indian friends by using derogatory word like 'keling'. While in the same breath, he wanted non-Muslim staff in Parliament to be sensitive to the Muslims by using head scarfs.

This is really an irony.

In the first case, he is not sensitive towards our Indian community when he used the word 'keling' on them. On top of that, he is trying to hoodwink the others by saying that Kedahans use this term to refer to Indians.

Being born and bred in Kedah, I have hardly come across anyone using this word on Indians. Even my working-class friends do not use this word.

Hence, by simple logic, Badruddin's behaviour is much less refined than those of humble labourers. Definitely the title YB does not befit him.
