A company that I work for recently donated a contribution to TNB worth RM1,800. A fee that has an official TNB receipt. There were 60 retailers that paid just like we did. Without paying that fee, there would not be electrical supply to our lot for an opening day.

There are no official reasons given as to what the fee was for, it simply stated 'TNB contribution'.

As a retailer, there isn't much that we can do. Can you imagine spending tens of thousands of mullah, and at the end of it unable to get electrical supply unless you succumb to their "contribution" tactic?

What is TNB talking about - trying to improve their floating cash, and losses are due to the high cost of fuel. If there is one GLC that should be buried six feet under due to incompetency and disinterest in business, it has got to be the one that needs RM700 million to survive before the new year.

Inversely, you have Telekom Malaysia which is trying very hard to improve, and they have improved tremendously. While TNB is still relying on their scare and bully tactics (a monopoly, what do you expect), TM is now trying to service its customers.
