I am perplexed by the conflicting and ethnocentric mentality of Baki Minuddin . First he states that Islam is one above others and not first among equals but then laments that Muslims are not treated as equals in other communities particularly after post-Sept 11.

He continues that Islam cannot sit together in a permanent institution such as the Interfaith Commission.

How does he expects people to treat people of his own belief equally when he does not? He practices pure hypocrisy echoing the double standards of the US. It is this sort of mentality that has caused so much pain and suffering for Muslims worldwide.

The US has stockpiles of nuclear weapons and yet they chose to invade Iraq for fear that they might develop weapons of mass destruction. Does Baki realise that he is no different from the Americans that the Muslims people despise?
