It is so ironic that this government under a new leader espouses greater transparency and openness and yet never have there been so many unanswered questions left hanging. It leads us to wonder if there is anybody living in Putrajaya. The country is in need of a leader who is present and one who can make decisions.
Justice has not been delivered on the policemen who abused the five Chinese nationals detained at the end of last year. The policemen had wrongly asked for 'yum cha' money (bribes) and requested them to strip.
Justice has also not been delivered on the policewoman and her superiors involved in the now famous nude squat case involving a Malay Malaysian girl. The independent commission's report on the nude squat incident was completed four days ago. The rakyat is waiting anxiously.
At the last general election, there were numerous contractors - including a Hong Kong company - who had requested for money and payment for BN election paraphernalia . They were never paid. Is this not a breach of the Election Commission rules?
What happened to the 'big fish' that were supposed to have been picked up by the ACA as promised just before the last general election? What happened to the case of Perwaja Steel strongman, Eric Chia? What happened to the big clean-up we have all been anticipating? I think there is a serious question involving integrity here. Were they all empty election promises?
