I refer to your report Perak Mufti acts on offensive' cartoon poll .
What I find more scary is that the poll revealed that 14% of the respondents selected the choice to "hunt and kill or launch a war against them" ("them" referring to the people responsible for the offensive cartoons against the prophet).
Fourteen percent is a lot of percent. This percentage may not be representative of the Muslim population in the country.
However, if 14% of the people who are IT literate and presumably the better educated and more tolerant segment of the population would subscribe to such extreme and violent views, what can we expect from the less educated segment of the population?
I most certainly hope that this is not an accurate representation of Malaysian Muslims. Because this would certainly mar our image as a moderate and tolerant Muslim nation.
