As pointed out by Jeffrey , if the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission emerges, the bad apples and black sheep would be junked, prosecuted and convicted with the next generation being super-efficient and ruthless.

Imagine, this major impact. Shady dealings investigated thoroughly and no wheeling and dealing allowed. This would mean connections with 'big' friends would be rendered obsolete and useless (these people may even be hauled up and exposed).

Those affected (especially if shady dealings are wiped out) would be financially crippled and would not be able to 'contribute' during election time especially during general elections. It is well-known that during election times, all parties need finance.

So it is not surprising then when certain MPs voice out against the IPCMC (as usually is the case, the affected ones cry out the loudest).
