Y Madjati has minced no words and rightly so. For all the wonderful placards and promises made in the BN manifesto as highlighted by Usman Bawang's letter , never have the minorities of this nation been so left out and receiving the worst end of the stick.

I think we should all honestly take Usman's advice to heart and seriously look at ourselves in the mirror. Is the Indian community left out, are Muslim women fairly treated and do non-Muslims have any form of recourse on Islamic issues at the civil courts?

We should demand that the opposition parties state clearly their views on these and other issues. We should demand for their manifestos and what they stand for. We should exercise our God-given right to vote and elect a just, honest and righteous government.

We must seek God's wisdom and pray for courage so that when push comes to shove we will have peace in this nation. The Royal Malaysian Police and civil servants must remember that they serve the nation and not any one political party. In a democracy, we shall see peaceful transfer of power if it ever comes.

Let the oppressed, the minorities and the down trodden stand up proudly irregardless of race or religion. The prime minister has called for an end to race-based politics and asks that no politician use it for political mileage.

It is so true and we, the rakyat, must now look across and analyse each political party to see if they uphold a truly Malaysian cause for them to be voted in come 2008!
