One of the prime reasons for the half bridge across the Johor Straits was pollution control with major studies and well-known personalities vouching that it will solve the problem.
With the scrapping of the bridge, I hope the government will not conveniently forget the pollution threat just as it conveniently cited it when it suited the need.
So will we see a big channel under the current causeway drilled to alleviate the pollution?
Surely we do not need Singapore's consent on this. I hope to see the our government live up to its own hype.
