  • Notwithstanding my unease at the quite a number of vituperative letters in malaysiakini reflecting the far right and far left views, I'd like to add in my own view that I'd like to recognise Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's courage in making the decisions he makes, particularly the one on the bridge.

How it came to be decided upon to build it in the first place is a bewildering. It was a joke. A most irrational decision.

I also question Mathias Chang's role in being a quisling of Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Many of our ex-PM's decisions during his tenure as PM were not made in the best interests of the nation.

I am just surprised he held office for so long. Too long, I should say.

Bravo PM Abdullah. Keep up the good work. You and all the 'democrats' within Umno.
