I refer to the article Mr PM, we need answers
Dr Mahathir Mohamad has done a great job last week in speaking out whether he realised it or not. It is the first time ever in Malaysia that the government is replying to questions. We shall see what transpires when the answers come out.
Certainly Mahathir has - accidently - done more for democracy and openness recently than all the years Umno has ruled Malaysia. Maybe Mahathir is now regretting the shackles that he helped impose on Malaysian thought.
I then hope he will come forward together with Musa Hitam, Shahrir Samad and the rest to unshackled the thoughts that he once played puppet master to. This will be Mahathir's lasting legacy - not the Twin Towers, the tallest flag pole or the crooked bridge. And let him not forget a free and fair press - work on it, Dr M.
